The number of new fathers at UBS who took extra time off following the birth of a child doubled last year, highlighting the advantages City companies have in encouraging workers to take shared parental leave.

Three-quarters of eligible fathers at the Swiss bank took on average 12 weeks of shared parental leave during 2018, according to a spokesman.
