Neil Woodford, the former star UK fund manager whose investment empire collapsed in 2019, has re-emerged in a defiant YouTube interview in which he blames the UK regulator and others for events that led to heavy losses for more than 300,000 retail investors.

In an exchange with Dubai-based podcast host Spencer Lodge, Woodford said he wanted people to know “the truth” about events that led to the suspension of his flagship Equity Income fund in June 2019.
