Morrison & Foerster appoints private equity head

Morrison & Foerster has hired Jonathan Melmed as the head of its private equity practice in New York. Melmed represents private equity funds and portfolio companies along with others in M&A deals and other transactions. He has experience in the alternative energy, infrastructure, media, telecoms and life sciences sectors. He previously worked as a partner and head of the Canada practice at Chadbourne & Park.
