More than half of Black City employees fear being stereotyped

The Financial Services Skills Commission and Financial Services Culture Board’s survey is the largest of its kind looking at inclusion in the City

More than half of Black staff in UK financial services are worried about being judged by their co-workers based on stereotypes, according to a landmark survey on inclusion in the City. 

Fifty-five percent of Black and Black British respondents feared being stereotyped, the highest percentage among all ethnic groups, and a significantly greater proportion that the 16% of White British and Irish respondents that feared the same.
