Moore Europe doubles profits

The European arm of Moore Capital, the hedge fund management firm run by US billionaire Louis Bacon, increased its revenue and doubled its profits last year.

Turnover increased from £130m (€193m) to £212m for the year ended December 31, 2005, according to the accounts of Moore Europe Capital Management filed at the UK's Companies House. Profit before tax increased from £17.9m to £36m.
