Moelis pay costs jump 23% after managing director hiring spree

Moelis & Co has hiked pay by 23% this year as the boutique bank increased bonuses and hired senior dealmakers as larger rivals cut back.

The boutique investment bank, headed by veteran dealmaker Ken Moelis, accrued $362.3m in compensation costs in the first half of 2024, according to newly-released accounts, an increase of 23%.
