Moelis dealmaker Caroline Silver: a career reshaping global exchanges

The former vice-chair of Emea investment banking at Morgan Stanley has been named on many transformational exchange deals over the past decade

Moelis & Co, the investment bank, is the sole adviser to Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing on its surprise £29.6bn takeover offer for the London Stock Exchange — a bid that would derail the latter’s £20bn acquisition of data provider Refinitiv.

And one banker named on the deal, Caroline Silver, should come as no surprise. The veteran Moelis dealmaker, who has featured on Financial News’s 100 Most Influential Women list for over a decade, has had a hand in many such transformative stock-exchange deals over the past 20 years.
