Two giants of the hedge fund world have put a stop to talks that would have created a landmark money managing partnership, according to reports.

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors was discussing a potential deal to manage money on behalf of  Izzy Englander's $60bn firm Millennium Management, the Financial Times reports, but the tie-up has now been put on hold.
