Merrill Lynch offers new approach to FTSE investing

Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has proposed a simple way for institutions to cut down their weightings to top-heavy FTSE 100 stocks such as Vodafone.

The UK fund manager has wheeled out an actively managed pooled fund, to be run by Mark Wharrier, which invests in FTSE stocks using an equally weighted benchmark.
