Merrill Lynch has continued the overhaul of its origination business with the appointment of a new regional head, following Michael Eggleton's departure last month.

Andrew Gazitua has been promoted to head Merrill Lynch's origination team in the region, three days after joint chief executives were appointed to run the bank's South African operation.
