Merger to cost Chicago exchanges $56m

The merger between the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade is expected to cost the boards $56m (€42.5m).

In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the CME and CBOT said they expect to incur additional charges for integration and restructuring once the merger is complete.
