Manifest, the share voting research service, has decided to resign its membership of the UK's National Association of Pension Funds following the organisation's decision to form a corporate governance operation with Manifest's rival, Institutional Shareholder Services.

Manifest was interested in forming a joint venture with the NAPF prior to the appointment of ISS, but argued that the organisation should separate its commercial activities from its membership organisation.
