Madoff's plea

Bernard Madoff, the disgraced New York trader, was sent to jail pending sentencing on June 16 after pleading guilty to being behind a $50bn, decades-long Ponzi scheme.

In his plea, Madoff said: "As the years went by, I realised my risk, and this day would inevitably come. I cannot adequately express how sorry I am for my crimes." To see the plea in full, please see attached.
