M&G Investment Management has hired Giles Worthington as fund manager of its £260m (€412m) European smaller companies fund in London.

Worthington will join on March 5, replacing Andrew Gibbs, who left M&G in November to set up his own hedge fund. He will report to Susan Smith, head of European equities.
