Lovells, the UK-based law firm, has hired Derek Baird as a partner in the corporate practice of its London office.

Baird joins from Dickson Minto, the UK corporate law firm, where he was a partner and where he has spent his career to date. For the past decade, Baird has specialised in corporate finance and private equity work, and has worked on various domestic and cross border institutional buyout deals. At Lovells he will specialise in private equity, which is part of its corporate practice.
