London’s listings market has struggled to recover from historic lows over the past two years. Proposed IPOs show how tough it has been to gain momentum.

But the spinoff of Paris-based streaming firm Canal+ is a boon for the UK, as it has chosen to list in London after shareholders in its parent company Vivendi voted to approve a four-way split of its business.
