LME to woo financial traders as Elliott appeals in nickel case

The metal exchange is trying to rehabilitate its reputation as well as attract new customers

Being taken to court by some of your most important customers is never a good look for a company. Winning the case and then having to go back to defend an appeal is even more painful.  

The legal action being pursued by Elliott Management has badly hampered the London Metal Exchange’s efforts to rehabilitate its reputation following the 2022 nickel trading debacle and shone an unwelcome light on the LME’s internal processes.
