The London Metal Exchange is facing a High Court claim that it allows “dirty metals” to be traded on its bourse in violation of environmental law.

The case, which is being brought by human rights groups, the Global Legal Action Network and the London Mining Group, says the LME’s policies do nothing to bar these metals from being traded on the exchange.
