Lloyds TSB Group has tightened its grip on the management of Scottish Widows Group, which it bought for £7.3bn (€11.7bn) earlier this year, by appointing a Lloyds TSB face as finance director.

The move of Bill Main, former group finance director at Scottish Widows, to replace Orie Dudley as chief executive of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, has enabled Lloyds TSB to appoint Jim McConville as Scottish Widows' new finance director.
