Linklaters has become the latest legal powerhouse to report stagnating profit amid a tough market for the City's lawyers.

The Magic Circle firm's latest results, published on 24 July, show pre-tax profit dropped 2% to £854m from £872m for the year to 30 April, "owing to material exceptional costs for Moscow closure".
