The asset manager is taking a stand against ExxonMobil’s approach to climate change

Legal & General Investment Management, the £1.2tn asset manager, said it will vote against the re-election of Darren Woods as chair of ExxonMobil, the oil and gas corporation.

The asset manager has “significant concerns” over the company’s approach to climate change, political lobbying and board independence, it said in a statement on 13 May.
