Lehman helps Shell turn hostile on Barrett offer

Royal Dutch/Shell Group has made a formal offer of $2.2bn (€2.4bn) to shareholders of US oil company Barrett Resources, using Lehman Brothers as deal manager, after the Barrett board rejected its initial proposal.
