Lazard’s dealmaking fees jump 39% amid senior banker hiring spree

The independent investment bank has hired 16 managing directors this year

Lazard posted a 39% increase in dealmaking fees during the third quarter as investment banks were buoyed by a bounce-back in transactions.

The independent investment bank made $371m during the third quarter, up by 39%, as it continued to hire senior dealmakers.
