Lazard steps into €660m telecoms sale

Suez, the French utility group, has turned to Lazard for the first time to help it sell the last of its communication assets, Noos, France's largest cable operator.

Suez said it had entered exclusive negotiations with UnitedGlobalCom, a US and European broadband communications provider, to sell its 51% stake in Noos in a deal that values the company at up to €660m ($805m).
