Lazard hires Moelis dealmaker Noel-Johnson to co-head European restructuring

The bank has vowed to increase managing director headcount by 10% a year until 2030

Lazard has hired a Moelis dealmaker to co-head its restructuring business in Europe, as the independent investment bank pushes through senior recruits under new chief executive, Peter Orszag.

The bank has taken on Charles Noel-Johnson as co-head of restructuring in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a memo seen by Financial News. He joins from Moelis & Company, where he was co-head of Emea capital structure advisory. He was also one of the founding partners of the boutique investment bank in Europe and the Middle East, the memo added.
