KPMG has been fined £1.25m by the accounting watchdog for conflict of interest failures during an audit of farm supplier Carr’s Group.

KPMG and its audit engagement partner Nick Plumb breached independence requirements in their 2021 review of Carr’s, the Financial Reporting Council said in a 12 June statement.
