Ken Moelis says dealmakers need to get ‘back out there’ after record year for boutique

Veteran dealmaker Ken Moelis said investment bankers need to get back on to the road to secure new deals, after his boutique advisory firm posted record results for 2020 as capital markets and M&A surged.

The chief executive of boutique investment bank Moelis & Co, said that dealmakers are missing client contact after Covid-19 grounded bankers and forced boardroom meetings on to digital platforms.
