Jefferies hires convertible bond team from Deutsche Bank

US investment bank takes advantage of the exodus from its rival in London

Jefferies has taken advantage of the exodus from Deutsche Bank with the hire of six senior sales and trading staff to bolster its European convertible bonds team.

Sean Hammersley, who led Deutsche’s convertible bond trading division in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, and Rob Saunders, its head of Emea equity-linked sales, have joined Jefferies to co-lead its international convertibles team, according to people familiar with the matter.
