Jefferies dealmaker Max Jones joins Liberum to head up tech and media team

Investment bank Liberum, which has been hiring bankers to expand from its traditional City stockbroker roots, has taken on senior Jefferies banker Max Jones to lead its team focused on technology and media deals.

Jones, who has spent the past 11 years at Jefferies, has joined Liberum as managing director and head of its technology and media team, a spokesperson confirmed to Financial News. He worked within Jefferies UK investment banking unit, focused on technology, media, consumer and financial sectors and previously worked at Royal Bank of Scotland.
