Janus Henderson hails ‘improvement’ as outflows slow to $3.5bn

Performance at the company’s struggling quant division climbs out of the doldrums

Janus Henderson reported its eighth consecutive quarter of net outflows between June and September, though its chief executive hailed “improving trends” as investor withdrawals slowed compared with earlier in the year.

Customers pulled a net $3.5bn out of Janus Henderson’s funds during the third quarter, the company said in its October 30 results statement, down from a record $9.8bn that headed for the exit between April and June.
