JPMorgan chief executive Jamie Dimon said that artificial intelligence could “augment virtually every job” at the bank, and transform the US lender’s workforce, comparing the innovation to inventions like the printing press.

In his annual letter to shareholders, which stretches into thousands of words contemplating everything from the future of JPMorgan, to how to grow America, Dimon said that the consequences of AI will be “extraordinary”.
