IPO shock as Genworth plunges in early trading

The largest US flotation for almost two years has dealt a sharp blow to the initial public offerings market after pricing below its original range and falling 3.6% when trading started on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

Genworth Financial, the life and insurance unit of General Electric, raised $2.8bn by selling 145 million shares at $19.50 each.
