ING hires UK country head from ABN Amro

ING has recruited Igno van Waesberghe from ABN Amro, its Dutch rival, as the bank's new head of the UK region responsible for the bank's activities in the UK, Ireland and South Africa.

He replaces Philippe Damas who has been appointed head of ING's newly formed private banking group. Both positions become effective in early April.
