ChemChina delivers HSBC its deal of the decade

Bank wins its largest takeover advisory mandate in 10 years – and its second-largest on record, according to Dealogic

HSBC has scored its largest M&A advisory mandate in 10 years – and its second-largest on record – as adviser to the government-owned China National Chemical Corporation on a near-$50 billion deal.

China National Chemical Corporation - known as ChemChina - and Swiss agrochemical and seeds company Syngenta announced on February 3 that they have agreed a deal worth $465 per Syngenta share, plus a special dividend.
