HSBC has kicked off a search for its new chair as Sir Mark Tucker prepares to step down after nearly eight years in the role.

Tucker has overseen a tumultuous period at HSBC, during which multiple chief executives have unveiled strategy shifts and streamlining plans to boost returns at the UK lender.
