HSBC Asset Management has snared a four-strong team from JP Morgan Fleming in Milan to make its debut in one of the fastest growing mutual fund markets in Europe.

The Italian team, headed by Matteo Pardi, will develop asset management products and services for institutional and retail clients. HSBC is a late entrant to Italy, but it has taken a team from one of the first foreign institutions to set up shop there.
