HSBC has revamped the structure of its investment banking business, pushing further into the growing private credit market while reducing the scope of its M&A teams.

The UK lender said that its newly-formed capital markets and advisory business would group all of its investment banking and underwriting businesses under one structure and will focus on debt financing and a fresh push into private markets.
