HSBC Private Bank has hired Stuart Chapell as head of insurance and financial solutions - a newly created position.

Stuart Chapell joins from Barclays Wealth, where he was director of their advisory and financial solutions unit having been recruited to head the financial planning unit within Barclays Private Bank in 2002.
