John Shipman succeeds Gabriel Castello following his promotion to interim CEO of HSBC’s global private banking business

HSBC has tapped John Shipman to take over as interim chief executive officer of its Swiss private banking business as the bank continues to reshuffle its wealth senior leaders.

Shipman has also been named country head of HSBC Switzerland. He will step into his new post on 1 January 2025.
