HSBC has kicked of a search for a new head of UK global banking as its current boss moves into a new role leading credit and capital management.

Jamie Markham, a former JPMorgan banker who joined HSBC in 2023 as head of UK global banking UK and international Europe, has taken on a global role as head of credit and capital management, according to a memo announcing the appointment.
