HSBC hires LatAm research trio

Profits at the UK bank's global banking and markets division in the region have grown by 50% in the last two years

HSBC has hired three equity analysts to cover the Latin American region, where the bank’s global banking and markets profits have grown by 50% over the past two years.

The bank, which has a strong emerging markets focus, has hired Sandra Boente as a senior vice-president covering Latin American utility and water companies; Alexandre Falcao as a senior vice-president covering transport and capital goods stocks; and Francisco Schumacher as a vice-president and Southern Cone and Andean strategist.
