Halbis, the active management subsidiary of HSBC Group, has hired a star manager from BankInvest in Copenhagen to manage a new fund targeting frontier markets - the least developed emerging economies.

Andrea Nannini joins the firm on Monday as a senior portfolio manager, and will manage the HSBC New Frontiers fund that will launch in February. It will initially be marketed to clients in the firm's private bank.
