Roger Holmes and Luc Vandevelde, who both left Marks & Spencer last summer under pressure from a £9.1bn (€13.2bn) putative bid from retail entrepreneur Philip Green, are to be re-united.

Holmes will join Change Capital, the private equity firm founded by Vandevelde two years ago, as a partner. A spokesman for Change confirmed the appointment.
