Guardian IT in takeover talks

Guardian IT, which is considered to be one of the primary providers of disaster management and recovery systems, has confirmed that it is preliminary discussions about being taken over following the loss of half of its value earlier in the week.

The company's shares dipped to 36p from to 74p after it announced that it had uncovered accounting errors in its financial statements.
