Goldman Sachs has hired Sanjay Patel as its co-head of European private equity to work alongside Hughes Lepic ahead of a planned fundraising.

He joins Goldman as a managing director and as part of the investment committee, and will report to Richard Sharp, head of the principal investment area in Europe.
