Group seeks ABS blueprint for Europe

An industry body comprising 65 securitisation firms throughout Europe has attempted to lay the foundations for a pan-European platform with what it calls an 'ambitious project with the potential for significant impact on securitisation throughout Europe'.

It aims to overcome the significant obstacles to growth the European securitisation market faces because it is so fragmented, due to a diverse range of international regulatory, tax and accounting laws.
