A Goldman Sachs partner who co-founded the Wall Street bank's lucrative special situations group has died at the age of 65.

Mark McGoldrick, a star partner at Goldman who departed the bank in 2007, passed away at Martha's Vineyard Hospital in Massachusetts on 23 November, according to an obituary posted by his family.
