Goldman Sachs among five to pick US fintech firm for Mifid II help

Five major banks including Goldman Sachs have signed up to use a New York-based fintech company's platform to help them prepare for sweeping European trading rule changes coming into force at the turn of the year.

Goldman, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Lloyds and UBS have picked a platform offered by Droit Financial Technologies, which was founded in 2012 by a group of derivative traders, quantitative specialists and technology experts, according to a statement from Droit.
