Goldman Sachs is favourite to lead the flotation of the Italian mobile business of Hutchison Whampoa, the Hong Kong-based conglomerate.

Goldman led the $899m (€664m) initial public offering of Hutchison Telecommunications International in Hong Kong and New York in October. The shares have since risen 13%.
