Goldman Sachs and Freshfields scored key advisory roles as private equity giant Cinven snapped up a majority stake in Grant Thornton UK.

Grant Thornton, which has more than 240 partners and 5,500 employees in its 20 UK offices, is the latest professional services firm to fall into the hands of buyout firms eyeing the sector for growth.
